Brass Heads Chest Ornament Nagaland (Pre-W.War Two)

Head-taking and warfare were symbolic of chivalrous and fertility. Youths that have taken heads by means of raiding an enemy's village with a view of capturing them as slaves and whose heads would be taken were a necessity for marriage. This tradition is no longer in practice as one can tell from the pictures.
